1937–2016 · Founder of the chambers · Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of Pakistan

Sardar Muhammad Ishaq Khan was born on 16 January 1937 in the village of Saroha, Tehsil Kallar Syedan, District Rawalpindi — and rose to become a very prominent and distinguished name in the field of law in Pakistan.
“One of the most learned Senior Advocates of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.”
He began his working life as a government teacher, but the law claimed him. Called to the Bar, he built a commanding practice and, in 1962, founded the chambers that bears his name. Over five decades he trained generations of juniors — many of whom still practise from 55-B, Civil Lines today.
After his sad demise in early 2016, the chambers has been carried on by his most trusted and well-trained pupils — first under the auspices of Barrister Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan, and, upon his elevation as a Judge of the Islamabad High Court, by the Executive and Advisory Board of SILC.
